Do you suffer from chronic or persistent sinus issues, including discharge, nasal obstruction or congestion, pain, tenderness, swelling, reduced sense of smell or taste, or coughing? Have you tried traditional treatments, only to have your problems go unresolved or relapse? At Ear, Nose & Throat Associates of Johnstown, Inc., we offer a variety of options to help you achieve relief from sinusitis and related issues, as well as a new, innovative procedure called Balloon Sinuplasty™

”Balloon sinuplasty allows the surgeon to treat many sinus conditions in the office without the need for general anesthesia. This benefits the patient as it is safer, and results in a shorter recovery time and minimal discomfort.”

- Dr. David C. Armstrong, M.D., FACS, FAAOA

What is Balloon Sinuplasty™?

Balloon Sinuplasty™ is a safe and effective endoscopic procedure that is designed to help sufferers of chronic sinusitis find relief from their symptoms. Because it requires no cutting or removal of bone or tissue, this method is far less invasive than traditional surgery. This procedure involves the use of a small, flexible balloon catheter, which is inflated to open up blocked sinus passageways and allow for drainage to take place. Although it varies from patient to patient, recovery is typically fast, and most patients can expect to return to work and normal activities within 2 days.

If you have chronic sinusitis and have not responded to medications such as antibiotics, do no qualify for or have declined traditional surgical methods, or wish to use a more affordable option for your treatment, Balloon Sinuplasty™ may be right for you.
